Deacon Anthony Smith

  Deacon Anthony Smith was born and raised in Dallas, Texas to the union of Herman and Jacqueline Smith. Deacon Smith has been in and out of church since the age of 9 and at the age of 12 he was baptized at Community First Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor C.H. Gerald. Deacon Smith is a devoted Christian and worships at the Loving Fellowship Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. Michael D. Sneed. Prior to his membership at Loving Fellowship, he also served as Deacon at Roe’s Chapel under his father the late Reverend Herman Smith until his passing. Deacon Smith went on to complete The Potters House Ministerial Training under the leadership of Bishop TD Jakes where he received his Minister license in July of 2021. Deacon Anthony Smith is happily married to Minister Beth Smith and has two son’s Colby Smith Anderson and Cody Hatter. He also has one handsome grandson Cai-Jay Anderson. Deacon Smith is the epitome of 1 Timothy 3: 1-8. He is a trustworthy, faithful and a self-controlled man of God. His favorite bible verse is Psalm 119:105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. Deacon Smith is well respected by his peers and fellow co-laborers in Christ. He is currently the overseer of The Men of Valor intercessory prayer line ministry which meets every Tuesday and Thursday mornings at 5:30 am central standard time. When Deacon Smith is not working, he can be found helping the homeless, meeting the needs of the less fortunate and pouring into others.  Deacon Smith will quickly tell you he has not always been on the Lord’s side. He has had his struggles with understanding church and salvation.  However, he never gave up on seeking God. Deacon Smith is not ashamed to speak on his past worldly ways and willing shares his testimony to help and encourage lost souls, with joy and gratefulness because he understands that even then the Lord was by his side. Deacon Smith is truly a man who walks faithfully in the belief, that the Lord will never leave or forsake him. This is true for all those who give their life to Our Savior. Deacon Anthony Smith has been serving the Lord ever since and diligently working to encourage and bring lost souls to the master’s kingdom. He is faithful, honest, and kind and a true friend indeed.
